The Life and times of Alpha Perry

I've had a fun packed day, starting with playgroup at St Pauls, where I had lots of fun playing with my friends, making cards, singing songs and running around. After lunch Mama drove me to nursery, I told her not to bother staying, so she went home for a rest and came back again to pick me up at 3.30pm.

I had a great time playing, painting and reading and as Wednesday is library day, I got to pick a book to take home and read for a week. I chose The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde, which is quite long and a bit strange at the end, but I am sure I will get to like it over time.

After nursery, Mama took me to the playround where I met a little girl called Megan. We playacted Jack and the Beanstalk, taking turns to play the giant and I really laughed at our "Fee fi fo fums".

My headteacher also told Mama today and as soon as my teacher is happy that I've settled into a good routine, I can go to nursery all day Wednesday and Thursday as well as every afternoon.

Today was my first day at nursery school. I was really excited about starting and couldn't wait all morning. Eventually after lunch, I said goodbye to Papa and Mama drove down with me to Moss Hall.

Once we got to the school, I rushed in and Jane, my teacher, showed me where to hang my coat and bag, showed me where my name tag was and where to hang it and then I went off to explore.

I started painting, then went onto play in the garden, helped out on the computer and finished the afternoon listening to a story being read by the teacher.

It was brilliant, I can't wait to go back tomorrow, we even got a carton of milk at the end of the day.

On Saturday I went with Mama and Papa to Kew Gardens where we met Giovanni, Costanza, Arturo and Anita. We haven't met Anita before, she will be one on 2nd of January next year. She was lovely and very pretty.

We hadn't seen the others for nearly two years, the last time was on Arturo's 2nd birthday and he will be four this year. We had lots of find running around and playing together and I can't wait to see him again.

He also gave me a lovely picnic basket with a pretty tea set inside - I was really excited about playing with it and had lots of fun the next day, setting up a tea party for my dolls.

On Sunday Papa took me to a car boot fair and we saw the sea scouts band playing. They were very good and we clapped at the end.

This morning I went to my Monkey Music class. It was great fun and I really enjoyed it.

But the big news is that tomorrow I will be starting at Moss Hall Nursery!

I will be going every day in the afternoon for two and a half hours. I can't wait.
